Fitness is very integral to a well balanced life, physical health and also impacts mental health.
Yet this has been one big area of challenge for me. Usually when life gets busy, the first thing that falls out of routine. So it has been imperative for me to find different options so that even on days when I cannot do a full workout, I can find something to do.
And sometimes you and I just need an extra challenge to motivate us to reach a milestone or a goal that may have alluded us for a long time.
For example, you see that picture of. me here? That was me on the eve of what was going to be my second half-marathon race of my life. Yes, 13.1 miles (or little over 21 kilometers). And I crushed it….well, considering where I had been in my fitness journey just few months prior. My timing was not the best but nor was it the worst. But the most incredible thing was that just 5 months prior to the race I had been so out of shape and had doctor’s orders to lose a bunch of weight. And so I picked something which I loved to do – RUNNING!

So, I look forward to sharing how I accomplished that training (while juggling a full time job and parenting two kids aged 4 and 6), lessons learned and other ways anyone can do simple things to incorporate fitness into their everyday life. Look for more info in this area!
