God and Me

Through my childhood and young adult years, for every Christmas or New Year, my parents would gift me with this daily devotional book for the year called “God and Me”. I loved using it to interact with Jesus.

It contained a Bible portion to read, a short devotional and some puzzles or age appropriate activity to help engage with it more. It truly helped me establish a personal relationship with God and my Lord Jesus. And to this day, that relationship continues to help me and guide me in all of life’s areas.

Of course, over the years, that relationship has grown and developed. No human relationship is static and so why so our relationship with God our Creator be any different?

And for me, my spiritual life and relationship with God is intertwined with my mental, emotional, social and physical aspects as well. And so as I look forward to sharing my tips and tricks on this blog, it is only natural I also talk about who God means to me and how that influences my thinking and decision making.

If you are worried, I will not preach at you, don’t. I won’t. That is not my intention. All I ask is that  you are understanding and respectful of where I come from as I share what helps and strengthens me as I go through this journey of life.

On  the other hand, if like me, you are a follower of Christ or interested in learning more, check out my separate Bible Learning blog where I explore this.
