Home

Home is where the heart is, so the saying goes. And for me this means being in the happy place with my beloved husband and two lovely children. And one of my favorite things is when the kids snuggle in our main master queen size bed and all four of us just talk or listen to something together.

It is at these times when I feel like my life is just perfect and nothing can make me lose my joy.

Well, nothing until I have to eventually get up and deal with the reality of the mundane necessities required to keep the household functioning.

Some days are like: What is for breakfast? Oh is there enough milk? Of what can I make for breakfast that does not involve milk or eggs? Oh did we forget to wash the dishes last night? Again. 👀

Then other days are like: Oh, I have breakfast all figured out. Let’s set the table and eat a well balanced nutritious meal 😌

But if I am being honest with myself, most days are somewhere in the middle of the above two possibilities.

And that’s okay.

The key to thriving is to not attain perfection or even attempt perfection but to find ways to help maintain your joy no matter what the situation is like.

For example, if the dishes don’t get done once in a while then it may not be a big deal but if this becomes more of a regular habit then it could increase frustrations and ruin harmony in  the family.

Of course the threshold for tolerance will vary greatly from one household to another. So, we each have to find what means for us. And this also may shift over time as the household grows and adapts to changes over time.

However, no matter what, there are some things that all families or hoseholds can benefit to help thrive and those are the areas which I will share with you in this blog 🙂

Keep watching….there is plenty more to come in this area!
